Frugio is an offline expense tracker. It has no user accounts, no sign-up, and
no server that stores your data. This policy explains exactly what stays on your
device and what leaves it.
What we collect
Nothing. We operate no server and no analytics. We cannot see
your transactions, balances, budgets, or any other content you enter, because it
is never transmitted to us.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter — accounts, envelopes, transactions, recurring rules
and settings — is stored in a database file inside Frugio's private storage
on your device.
Your device's operating system may include that file in its own backups
(for example Android Auto Backup or Google device-to-device transfer) if
you have those features enabled. That backup is between you and Google;
we have no access to it.
Uninstalling Frugio deletes the database and with it all of your data.
This is not recoverable by us.
What leaves your device
Frugio makes network requests in only these cases:
Exchange rates. If you use more than one currency, Frugio
requests published reference rates from
api.frankfurter.dev. The request asks only for currency
rates. It contains no amounts, no transactions, and no identifier for you
or your device.
Purchases. If you buy Frugio Pro, the transaction is
handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your
payment details. Google's own privacy policy governs that process.
App updates. Frugio uses Google Play's in-app update
service to tell you when a newer version is available. Google Play
performs the download.
There are no other outbound requests.
Permissions
Internet — for the three cases listed above only.
Notifications — to show reminders for bills and planned
transactions you have set up yourself. These are generated on your device.
Run at startup — so reminders you scheduled still arrive
after you restart your phone.
Children
Frugio is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone,
including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with
a new date above.
